A Ride Through My Childhood
Jojo and I took a bike ride to enjoy the super good weather today. We started going down Bay Settlement and then up Van Lanen passed the farm house for memories. The smells of spring really brought back the memories. It is amazing how all the familiar sounds, smells and sights really hit with emotion of nostalgia. Some of my best memories are from the summer on and around the farm. We continued down Conard Rd and down Champion Rd. I showed Jojo my old elementary school, Wequiock. Down Fisher Rd and then north on Nicolet. It was like a walk through my childhood because we went passed Jackie Dimick’s, Grandmas, and many childhood friend’s house. We stopped at the cottage and even walked down the steps. It was for sale again. We stopped for lunch at Nicolet Landing Park. We continued down Red Banks and Point Comfort to as far as we could go. I was so tired, but still we had to come back. We came straight back and it was a great spring/summer day to kick off the great weather. When we got home we opened the door and spent time on the porch. It was such an amazing day to be out there. This is when I realized it would be nice to have the door open as much as possible to make it feel as though I was outside.
