Kissing the Kids Goodbye

I’m in Algoma, waiting to go to Fish Creek to fill in for Jojo at Hands On Art Studio while she is at Frogman’s Workshop. Here is how the weekend went down.

The kids got dropped off on Saturday. Jojo left for South Dakota shortly after. The kids and I played on the computer most of the day. We grilled hamburgers on the grill and the kids liked them. We watched “The Wind Rises” that night.

Sunday we took a hike down Wequiock Creek with Eric and Connor. I really enjoyed the hike. I think the kids got sick of it at some points, but I think it was good for them to experience that. Eric and Connor came over and we watched Star Wars: The De-specialized Edition while eating pizzas. After that the kids played video games and Eric and I worked on securing my server. On Monday we slept in. The kids’ grandma came to get us and we went to Algoma. We took our bikes to get some ice cream and then played some games. That night we watched “Big Man on Campus”. On Monday I woke up to go to work up in Fish Creek. I gave the kids a kiss in their beds before I left.
