Donnie Turns Thirteen

Today was Donnie’s birthday! He is 13 today. He is still my cute little bud, but now he is a teenager. I brought him McDonald’s for lunch and ate lunch with him at school. This evening he had friends over to watch movies, such as Pitch Perfect. Joel and Alex Zwicky came over today to see the studio and we had supper at Caffe Tlazo. It was nice to hang out with them a bit. Tonight I finally scanned in more family photos. Dad died a year ago April 5. It is hard to believe a year has gone by without him.When I stayed at his house to watch over him as he died, I started scanning in a bunch of family photos as a way to think and grieve over him. I can’t believe a whole year has gone by since I stopped. I thought I would take a break and get started, so it seems like a few days in some ways. I would like to get that project finished someday. It has slowed down a bit this today and I was able to relax and clean and even do a bit of art. Quite a nice change from that of December, which was incredibly busy.
