Leaves and Sticks and Stones

Don Krumpos · Diary

This past weekend we had Thanksgiving at Rachelle’s house where all of Erin’s family was there. Arthur enjoyed playing with his grandma cousins so much and helped decorate Christmas cookies. I came back on Friday to work on my Krampus mask. Last Tuesday was the dedication of the clay mural I helped design for downtown Green Bay. It was nice to see everyone. I saw Kay Flick after a long time, probably 15 years. I took a walk in the arboretum on a beautiful November day. I had a workshop on Saturday Nov. 18 for an ink and drink monotype workshop. I’ve been doing a lot of drawing lately and that makes me happy. On Nov. 9th I met Chris Rand at his house and we went to Carol Emmons art show at Oshkosh. We listened to her talk and then saw a lot of people we knew. Him and I went to eat at Houdinis Escape Gastropub in Appleton and then back to his house where he gave me a tour of his game room. Erin has been working on a large mosaic to put in our old window in the courtyard. It has been a very nice fall. Arthur is so cute as he bops around and tries to collect all the leaves for himself. He loves them. He also likes to collect sticks and stones and play with them and make sculptures out of them. He loves to be home and play and watch the telly. I am really enjoying having him in my life. He is growing so fast. We went trick-or-treating on Halloween. He won’t wear a costume, but he loves wearing his costumes by himself in his bedroom. We also went to a Halloween walk on Oct 28 that the high school puts on where they dress up as pop culture characters. On the 23rd the Library had games and a haunted house. On October 21 we went to the Railroad Museum for a pumpkin related event. Arthur got to ride on his first full size train (he rode on a mini one at the zoo) Earlier this fall we all enjoyed our beautiful backyard
